I’m working on setting up an instance using AWS’ SES as an email service. Before I go too far - is that a real bad idea for some reason or is it generally interchangeable with the other services?
One of the steps for setting up SES is submitting a request to AWS support asking to be removed from the sandbox and cleared to send emails to non-verified email addresses. This comes with a rate increase request. I know emails will get sent for new users and forgotten passwords so I can estimate the rate to be pretty low. Does it send more than that? Anyone have rough data or estimates for emails per day per user?
