Error in new instance: We're sorry, but something went wrong on our end

#1

Greetings:

Would love to tinker around with Mastodon but ran into a few issues on a new installation and was hoping to get help or pointed in the right direction.

(I am pretty new to Linux. Please be patient)

This is the installation guide I am following:

Unfortunately, when I try to access the site, I get the error:
"We’re sorry, but something went wrong on our end."

Here is my environment:

[root@localhost ~]# cat /proc/version
Linux version 3.10.0-862.14.4.el7.x86_64 (mockbuild@kbuilder.bsys.centos.org) (gcc version 4.8.5 20150623 (Red Hat 4.8.5-28) (GCC) ) #1 SMP Wed Sep 26 15:12:11 UTC 2018

The logs give me the following:

[root@localhost ~]# journalctl -u mastodon-web.service

Due to my ignorance/lack of experience, the above logs don’t mean anything to me.

How should I start to troubleshoot the issue? Any help would be appreciated. Greatly appreciate anyones time.
