Can't get mastodon to work locally

I tried to install mastadon locally on my MacOS but when I try to run yarn run test or foreman I get this:

ERROR: Cannot find module 'babel-plugin-syntax-dynamic-import' from '/Users/timesplinter/Projects/mastodon'
  - Did you mean "@babel/syntax-dynamic-import"?
STACK: Error: Cannot find module 'babel-plugin-syntax-dynamic-import' from '/Users/timesplinter/Projects/mastodon'
  - Did you mean "@babel/syntax-dynamic-import"?

I checked out version v2.6.5 of mastodon

Oh good I’m not the only one having this problem. Trying to update from 2.4.4 to 2.7 and I’m just getting a zillion of these when I try to precompile assets.

did you run yarn install?

i can’t speak for Timesplinter but I did.

oh yeah, also I posted an issue on github which has an error log.
